Coral Cove sunrise

It’s been a little while since I visited this place. I think the blog has been missing me, so I wanted to update everyone on what I have been up to lately. First and foremost, I’ve been taking a short break from my travels through the month of June and July. I have lots of things to catch up on and need some down time to process all that has happened in the last few months.

I have been on the road almost non-stop since January. As wonderful as travel can be and as much as I love it, I’m equally attracted to the slow way of living back at home. Well, slow may be a relative term, as responsibilities pile up on my to do list like pancakes at an iHop restaurant. But at least I’m not running from airport to airport and fighting jet leg with Melatonin pills.

Part of the reason for this short break is that I’ve been wanting to photograph more here in south Florida. I do believe this is a beautiful place to live and to visit and I want to show that through my photography. My Instagram feed is the most up to date place for seascape and Florida photography. The series I’m sharing here today is from a recent sunrise shoot at Coral Cove Beach, a popular place for many Floridian landscape artists and photographers. Coral Cove boasts a slightly more unique seashore than most beaches in Florida. Here you can find jagged rock formations scattered about the shore in addition to the soft sand your toes quickly sink into. On a stormy day, crashing waves make for wonderful subjects as they spray sea water against this rocky shore.  Coral Cove is a bit of a trip for me, but I have never regretted making the forty five minute drive, whether for sunset or sunrise. I hope the images speak for themselves, showing you the beauty that is south Florida.

The second reason I am taking a short break from traveling is that I have been prepping for something really exciting coming up next month! No, it’s not the salsa dancing performance you might have seen on my Facebook and Instagram feeds, although I have been working very hard at that too 🙂 I’m super excited to announce that I’ll be having my very first photography exhibit at Sandpark Community Center in Boca Raton! The exhibit will run from August 31st-November 2ndand it will feature select photographs from my travels over the past few years. The photographs will be displayed for two months up and there will be an opening night, date for which I am still to announce. However, as exciting as having an exhibit really is, it is also extremely time consuming and costly and that is why I’ve decided to stay put and focus on making this happen in the best shape and form.

So that’s pretty much why I’ve been hiding somewhat over the past few weeks. I have been using this time to dream big and plan big…I have been setting goals and working hard to put my dreams into reality. I have some new projects in the making and I cannot wait to share them with you.

Stay tuned guys and as always, thank you for reading, thank you for following and thank you for supporting my work. It is always much appreciated!
