Finally, a trip planned!

I’ve taken a little leap of faith this morning and finalized my trip to Nicaragua with The Giving Lens next month! I am beyond psyched to be able to finally participate in one of the organization’s photographic workshops. The Giving Lens runs not just any standard photo workshop; they’ve managed to combine people’s love for photography with altruistic endeavors. At every place they run a workshop, they get involved with non-profit organizations to bring further awareness of their cause through photography. The joy (and struggle) of Golden Hour

I love shooting during the “golden hour.” All you aspiring and seasoned photographers out there know that I am referring to that time of the day when the sun is low in the sky and gives off this beautiful golden hue that makes everything look pretty, no matter what it is. I always tell everyone that if they want to improve their photography, they should start shooting during the golden hour. It’s a pretty universal fact.
